2021 NFL Draft Scouting Report: CB Lorenzo Burns

Lorenzo Burns aligned at cornerback for the Wildcats defense. He plays with good reactive athleticism for the position, as evidenced in his body control and agility in coverage. He is a willing tackler in the run game, but is a bit light at the point of attack. In the passing game, he has been productive. He's extremely competitive at the catch point and does a good job getting his hands on the ball. He is equally effective playing man or zone from a press or off position.

Ideal Role: Eventual subpackage cornerback.

Scheme Fit: Any.
