3 Bold Predictions For NFL Week 7

Week 7 has several mouth-watering matchups on its schedule. The AFC North will be well represented when the surprising Cincinnati Bengals lock horns with the division-leading Baltimore Ravens. Elsewhere, Patrick Mahomes and the surging Kansas City Chiefs will meet Derrick Henry and the Tennessee Titans for a Sunday matchup that will surely provide points in abundance.

The 2021 season is quickly approaching its crucial midway point, and the margin for error is disappearing as the weeks go by. With our eyes firmly set on the action, we've compiled three bold predictions we see coming to fruition this weekend.

According to multiple reports, the Houston Texans and Miami Dolphins are engaged in trade talks surrounding Deshaun Watson. Miami’s efforts to acquire Watson have been well documented since the summer, as the organization continues to show a lack of faith in sophomore quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

The former Alabama standout could feel disrespected as the organization that drafted him in the top five allegedly continues to search for ways to actively replace him. There would be no better moment for Tagovailoa to showcase his talents. Whether he's attempting to change the minds of Miami's brass or putting positive plays on tape to entice the interest of potential destinations around the league, Tagovailoa should have every ounce of motivation to play a great football game against the Falcons. Atlanta's defense will likely offer little resistance, as they enter the contest as the second-worst scoring defense in the league, allowing the opposition to score a whopping 29.6 points per game. If this is Tagovailoa's last game in Miami, look for him to go out in a blaze of glory.

Perhaps the most appetizing contest scheduled to take place on Sunday, the Over/Under is currently set at 57.5 and we envision this contest producing enough offense to comfortably surpass that total. Tennessee has been red-hot as of late. The winners of two straight, the Titans have scored an average of 35.5 points in their two latest victories. Meanwhile, the Chiefs’ offense is averaging a ridiculous 30.8 points per contest while converting an astounding 60.3% of their third-down opportunities.

Look for the Titans to make a healthy attempt to establish Derrick Henry against a Chiefs run defense that is allowing opposing rushing attacks to gain an astonishing 133.2 yards per game on the ground. Andy Reid will likely take a different approach by looking to attack a patched-together Titans secondary that is littered with injuries. If you love offense, and we're sure you do, this has the makings of must-watch television.

Losers of two straight contests, the Seahawks have embarked on a difficult path since starting quarterback Russell Wilson exited their Week 5 primetime loss against their rival Los Angeles Rams. Backup quarterback Geno Smith has performed admirably since taking over and nearly led Seattle to an unlikely come-from-behind victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 6 before ultimately faltering in overtime.

The Seahawks now sit at 2-4 and are well behind the Rams and undefeated Arizona Cardinals in the ever-competitive NFC West. The reality of their situation is a daunting one and that's precisely why we envision Smith and the Seahawks playing with a hint of desperation against the Saints on Monday night. Look for Seattle to get back in the wild-card hunt with a thrilling victory.
